Rides

The 2010 Texas State HOG Rally will have four guided rides in what we are calling the “Four-Points” runs. So named for the four points on the compass.

Our "NORTH" route will take our riders into southern Oklahoma and to the beautiful Wichita mountains. Passing through Ft. Sill, stopping at the summit of Mt. Scott and coming home through Meers this should make for a very enjoyable ride.

Our "WEST" ride will show off the Texas prairies and our state heritage of farming and ranching. We will take you west to Vernon and back along some enjoyable back roads with part of the route taking you through the Waggoner Ranch.

Our "EAST" riders will ride out to the German community of Muenster passing through Henrietta, Nocona, Spanish Fort, & St, Jo. Returning through Montague, Bowie and Scotland this ride has some beautiful twists and turns, and a few ups & downs as the countryside rolls and banks.

Our "SOUTH" route goes out to Throckmorton & Breckenridge and brings you home along the back side of Lake Possum Kingdom and the city of Graham. This area is considered by some as the “Northern Texas Hill Country” absolutely breath taking at times.

** The guided rides will run both days of the rally and the ride groups will be limited to the first forty motorcycles to sign-up on site at the rally. Most of these rides are not for sissies with three of the rides being over two hundred miles of mostly open cruising roads. Food and fuel stops will be arranged cost of meals and fuel are not covered.

Dart Run Self-paced ride approx 11-4 Friday & Saturday

This run will be in lieu of the now “illegal” poker run. The object will be to show your skill at each stop and throw darts at a board containing a deck of cards. The person with the skill to throw the best hand will win. This run will be in the Wichita Falls area and is a little over one hundred miles long. Cash Prize to the winner.

Ladies Ride
This ride is will take you east of Wichita Falls into Clay County. Along the Red River, into historic Henrietta, around Lake Arrowhead then back to the MPEC in time to go to the Wichita Falls Vineyards and Winery, by city Trolly. There is a $10 charge for the Winery portion.

The Red River Harley-Davidson Historical Marker Pin Run

This is a run with no set route. You will have a map showing you the location of five or six Texas historical markers and a list of questions that can be answered from the information on the markers. The object is simple go to these markers answer the questions then turn in your sheet at Red River Harley-Davidson and receive your exclusive pin. The by-product of this run is seeing the sights of north Texas and maybe pick-up a little of the Texas history that is around us every day. There is no time limit just a limit on the number of pins. The pins will go to the first five hundred correctly answered sheets turned in at the dealership.
